Natural henna has been used for over 9,000 years. Because henna tattoos do not break the skin, this is a safe way to temporarily decorate your body. People with G6 deficiency and children under the age of 5 should not be hennaed.
We only use the finest natural henna, surgical markers, and gentian violet transfers. "Black henna" contains a chemical called Para-Phenylenediamine which is carcinogenic and illegal to apply to the skin. Under no circumstances should you allow anyone to use "black henna" on your skin.
Natural henna paste varies in color from a dark olive green to brown. It dries a very dark brown. When it dries and flakes off it looks orange at first but will darken after a few hours reaching peak color in 48-72 hours. |
