Natural henna has been used for over 9,000 years.  Because henna tattoos do not break the skin, this is a safe way to temporarily decorate your body.  People with G6 deficiency and children under the age of 5 should not be hennaed.

We only use the finest natural henna, surgical markers, and gentian violet transfers.  "Black henna" contains a chemical called Para-Phenylenediamine which is carcinogenic and illegal to apply to the skin.  Under no circumstances should you allow anyone to use "black henna" on your skin.

Natural henna paste varies in color from a dark olive green to brown.  It dries a very dark brown.  When it dries and flakes off it looks orange at first but will darken after a few hours reaching peak color in 48-72 hours.

Henna Tattoo Aftercare

Leave the henna paste on as long as possible.  Scrape the paste off rather than washing it off.  Try not to wet the area immediately after scraping off the paste.  If a gentian violet flash was used the purple color will wash off with soap and water.  Avoid chlorinated pool water as it will fade the henna stain quickly.  A moisturizer with shea butter will prolong the deep color of the henna stain.

Body Icing

Body Icing is the use of acrylic adhesive and cosmetic grade glitter to put mad bling directly on your skin.  Designs similar to those used with henna can be done on the arms, back, legs, feet or belly to add sparkle to any outfit.  With proper care, the icing will last 3 days.  Pix coming soon!
