Dandelion Studio Entertainment & Arts Company Policies

Booking  A contract must be legibly and completely filled out to schedule a performance.  Dates and times are assigned on a first come, first served basis.  Contracts may be mailed to Dandelion Studio Entertainment and Arts Company, 115 E. College Blvd. #171, Roswell, NM  88201.
Payment  Credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard only) information must be provided to secure your performance unless cash, money order, PayPal or check by phone for the entire amount is presented with the completed contract.  (PayPal payments will be assessed a 3% convenience fee and may be sent to beffy_boo@yahoo.com. Our entertainers are committed to providing you with an outstanding experience.  Like other service professionals, a large portion of our entertainers' income is based on tips.  Receipts are available upon request.

Travel  If the party address is more than 40 miles from our base of operations as mapped by MapQuest, a $2 per mile (one way) travel fee will be assessed.  In addition, any parking fees will be paid by the event host.  Arrival times are approximate and may be influenced by traffic and weather conditions.  We will do everything within our power to arrive at the event at the requested time.

Cancellation   Events cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged an additional $50 fee.

Late Starts/Staying Over-time  It is highly recommended that you select a time later than 30 minutes after the beginning of your event for the performer to begin to insure that all of your guests have arrived.  Performers are booked for several events in one day and may or may not be able to honor requests for late starts or staying overtime.  If the performer is required to stay more than 15 minutes past the check out time a $25 per 15 minute fee will be charged beginning with the 16th minute.

Weather  Performers are unable to perform outdoors during wet weather.  In the event of snow, ice, or other significant weather concerns, events may be cancelled by Dandelion Studio Entertainment & Arts Company to insure the safety of our performers.  The event host will not be penalized in any way and will receive priority for rescheduling.  Heat "According to NOAA, about 175-200 Americans die in an average year from heat related illnesses.  The extreme heat causes more deaths in a normal year than hurricanes, tornadoes, and lightening combined."  Mascot costumes are heavy and retain heat.  The temperature is 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit hotter inside a costume than the air temperature.  During warm weather, unless indoors in an air conditioned space 68 degrees Fahrenheit or cooler, the costumed performer must have a private space to cool down.  Intervals for cool downs will be determined by medical guidelines.  A heat index calculation chart will be used by the Dandelion Studio Entertainment & Arts Company Operations Coordinator to determine whether a performance must be cancelled due to the weather.  In the event that the performance must be cancelled the event host will receive a full refund of any deposit and priority for rescheduling.

Characters   Our characters are not licensed.  It is not our intention to violate any copyright laws.  We make no attempt to market our characters as "name brand" or licensed.  The characters we have are the creation of their manufacturers.  Any resemblance to nationally known characters is incidental.  Should you have the need for a licensed or copyrighted character at your event we encourage you to contact the company/copyright holders for that character.  We only accept bookings from individuals who are aware that we do not represent any licensed characters.

Performers   Our performers are sub-contractors to Dandelion Studio Entertainment & Arts Company and cannot change or amend any contract the event host has entered into with Dandelion Studio Entertainment & Arts Company without authorization from an officer of Dandelion Studio.  Performers will strive to make your event memorable and provide excellent entertainment.  Any special requests should be made prior to the performers' arrival, via the Dandelion Studio contract.  Last minute requests may be made to the character host.  If your requests are within Dandelion Studio guidelines they will be honored.  Should your request fall outside of guidelines the character host must contact the Operations Coordinator for authorization to accommodate your request.  Performers must have a private indoor place to change into the mascot costume.  Mascot heads do not allow for peripheral vision in any direction.  Performers can only see straight ahead.  The oversized suit diminishes agility.  These factors should be taken into account when judging the character's movements.

Safety  Characters and character hosts do not baby sit children.  An easily identifiable adult point of contact must be present at all performances.  Characters and character hosts must not be hit, kicked, punched, pinched or otherwise assaulted.  Lewd or vulgar behavior (including "freak dancing") directed toward the character or character host will not be permitted.  Any such behavior will immediately terminate the performance.  Smoking is not permitted near the character or character host.  The event host is responsible for monitoring guests and providing a safe environment.
